Meeting about Motion and Up coming fall

Hope you all are having a fabulous summer! We are so excited about the up coming MOTION Conference in Birmingham, AL. Over the past few weeks God has been moving powerfully in the lives of our students at Fusion and we know that Motion will just keep flaming the fire in our students’ hearts. This Sunday July 26^th we are having a mandatory meeting for all students and parents of students going to Motion. We also encourage all parents to come to this meeting that have students who are involved in student ministry or students that are wanting to get involved. We will be covering all the details for Motion, Leap and going over what will be happening this fall. The meeting is this Sunday July 26^th from 4:30 to 5:30 at the Outback. See you all there!

BattleFront Generation: Middle School

If your student has completed 6th or 7th grade they are invited to come and be apart of BattleFront Generation starting tonight at the Outback from 6:30PM to 8:00PM. BattleFront Generation will be every monday night at the Outback for five weeks. During BattleFront Generation we will be going through the book of Daniel and learning wait it mean to walk by faith as we go through life. BattleFront Generation will be leading up to our Motion:Desperation Conference (our summer student conference)! This Thursday to kick off the summer we are having a Fusion Pool Party from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM the cost is $5 and pizza will be provided. We will be at BrookeShire Subdivision pool, which is located near the Outback.

Hey Everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing Easter this past Sunday!

Girls Night Out!
This Friday night we are having an all night girls night at the Outback. GNO will start at 7:30 PM Friday night and go till 9:30 AM on Saturday morning. GNO is going to be an amazing night to be apart of, we are going have worship, deserts, a movie and fun. Each girl will need a pillow, sleeping bag and $5 dollars to get in.

I am so excited about this night! God has been moving in my heart about this night for a long time now. I will be speaking about how God sees them and how the world tries to show us how we should see ourselves. I am also going to be touching on how God sees the people around us, even the people that we don’t like. God longs to show us His love and affection, and when we finally understand who we are in Him it transforms us. My goal for the night is that each girl will leave knowing that God loves them and unite them as women of God. I am so excited I know that not only will this night be a blast but God is going to come in a powerful way!

Love Gives All

This past Wednesday night God moved in an incredible way in the lives of our students. We talked about choosing God daily, and making Him the reason for our day even though the world is pulling our lives in the opposite way. So many of us go after God but don't really know Him and don't sacrifice anything to know Him. We as Fusion sacrificed things in our lives on Wednesday Night not because we want to say we did but because we desire to know God. Our worship team truly lead us into the presence of God, it was an awesome night, God was truly moving in our lives. But we do not want it to end here because we want to stand before God one day knowing that we had given our all to know him and love his people.

Tonight we are having a prayer meeting at the Outback for this Sunday- Carnival Sunday- the 5th Anniversary of BridgePointe Church. This Sunday we are asking God to bring 2200 people to BridgePointe Church so He can move in power in there live and be renewed in Him. All of us know people that need to be there this Sunday to get a touch from God so lets join together and pray for God to move. Join us tonight at the Outback from 7pm to 8pm and then we are going to Chic-Fil-A after till 9:00pm.

Movement Student Weekend 2009

Hey parents! We are so excited where God is taking all the students of Fusion! This weekend Friday February 27th from 7-9pm starts the Movement weekend that will continue through Saturday February 28th, from 9am-8pm. The students don't want to miss this student weekend! God has taken Fusion on a learning experience the past few months to discover what it looks like to change and lead a generation. This weekend God is calling out these students to live a life that stands apart from the rest and to lead their generation back to the heart of God!

Prayer points:

God's will for their lives enlightened in their hearts

The right person at the right time

Hey parents!
This week we talked about what it looks like to be "looking" for the right person at the right time. To consider "dating" someone you first have to be running after God with your whole heart and he will at the right time bring someone along side of you.
My view of the situation is that 9 times out of 10 that will not be in high school so there is no real reason to invest time, money, and effort into "looking" for the right person when you are not running toward God yet. Then I gave then some advice when God does allow you to start pursuing a relationship with someone he has brought into your life.

Reason to date: to look for a spouse
What are the 5 things you want in a spouse someday?
Loves God with their whole heart
Has spiritual, moral and physical standards that they live by
I’m attracted to that person in every way
That we treat each other like a prince and princess
That our dreams in life are going in the same direction

Some advice once we are looking
Girls: look for guys that fast because that shows that he can deny himself and is running after God
Watch how he loses because it is him in his truest nature.
Watch how he spends his time and money.

Guys: watch how she talks about others- if she talks about someone behind their back she will do the same with you.
Watch what happens when she doesn't get her way.

Key point for the night: you attract who you are- so start allowing God to mold and shape you and he will bring a person that is trying to run after God that hard as well.

Takeaway: Right out your personal standards and boundaries so you know where you stand before a relationship even starts.

BattleFront Warrior Night

Hey Parents! I want to start by thanking each of you for raising such amazing students that are passionate and thirst for the heart of God! It speaks volumes about you as their parents!

We just wanted to let you know about our BattleFront Warrior Night this Sunday from 6:30-8pm. In place of the usual BattleFront groups meeting at the perspective homes we are going to meet all together as a BattleFront body at the Outback! Make sure they bring their bibles, journals, and pens because we are going to have an epic time bonding together as a group, worshiping, and waring through prayer for Woodstock, our schools, our church, and our families!

The students do not want to miss this night because God is going to bring Fusion to a whole new level of desiring and fighting after his heart!

Real Worship and Prayer

What is true worship?
Giving everything of yourself daily and allowing God to transform your mind and move your heart.

This week was a powerful week where I challenged the students to give their whole bodies as living sacrifices, focusing on Romans 12:1-3. This will lead us into a deeper knowledge and communication with God that allows us to live a lifestyle of worship and prayer with God!

Tangibles:
Give your problems and hard stuff to God and let him help you through them
Focus in and give more time to prayer and reading God's word
RESPECTING YOUR PARENTS
Tell people what God has done in your life

Thanks so much for supporting the student Lead team and allowing us to partner with you in making sure these students gain a foundation so they can change the world!

Friday Outreach: we will be going to the Theatre on Towne Lake Parkway to see the Pink Panther. We are meeting inside the theatre at 6:30pm so we can all sit together.

Live Life Together

Parents,
Wow! Wednesday night was amazing. We had a great turn out and God really showed up. I spoke about how important it is to live life together with other strong Christians. Just like Joshua and Caleb stood by each other's side, we need to support our friends. We had a great time of prayer after the message and the students actually didn't want to leave at the end of worship. All of you parents who were waiting in the parking lot we are sorry... We told the students the night was over and to go and find their parents as the last song was playing, but they wouldn't leave. What a great problem to have. We actually had to stop the worship and tell everyone that they had to leave... It was an amazing moment! Parents be encouraged that your students who come to Fusion love worshipping. After the message they didn't head out to play the video games or ping-pong, they stayed to worship. It was truly incredible watching these young people seeking God with all of their heart...

Be proud of your students, we are.

Pursuing God's Heart

Tonight we challenged these students: To take this city we have to take time to pursue God with our whole hearts!
We focused on Revelation 22:17- The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come: and whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life.
It was amazing to witness all of our students crying out: Come on Jesus we want to know you, we want you to come in this generation, we want you to come back.

Beginning of the Year

Good Morning Parents:

Last Wednesday night I talked with the students about "New Beginnings". More specifically their new beginnings. Everywhere our students go they are being told they can't make a difference. While I was speaking a young girl sat crying through most of my message. Afterwards while everyone was worshipping and praying, she came up to me and told me her passion in life. She said "Jeremy all I want to do is love people and show them that Jesus loves them too". Then she added that today a fellow student came up to her and told her that she can't make a difference in her school. Point blank! She told me she had believed what that other girl said to her. She explained that all afternoon and all during our worship time she had no hope of changing peoples lives with the love of Jesus. However when I told Fusion that "No matter what people tell you you can't do, I'm here telling you you can. You can change your world."

She said that she is never again going to doubt that God is going to use her to make a difference.

Parents this kind of thing is happening every Wednesday night at Fusion.

Fusions First Thanksgiving!

Well after a week off of school, a lot of football and way WAY to much to eat we arrive back in the office!

Tuesday night we had Fusions First Thanksgiving. I want to start by saying thank you to all of the adults that came out and helped make the night amazing.

We started off the evening with some serious art work, in which the students had to draw a picture of what thanksgiving looked like 200 years ago. It ended up being really funny! Then we had our two turkey Pinata's Timmy and Tina, which we smashed to pieces. AND NO ONE WAS HURT!

We had some food eating contest and a mash potato flinging contest in which Mat and I got covered from head to toe in yummy thanksgiving food. (checkout Fusions Facebook for pictures)

We had over 100 students who came and lots of them brought new friends with them. We are so excited about how your students are continually making the effort to bring unsaved friends to Fusion and Bridgepointe. They are making a difference in this world and eternity!

This week we are starting a 2 week series on "Guys and Gals". During these two weeks we are going to be talking to the students about how we are called to treat our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is going to be amazing!

BattleFront Warrior Training-Games and Graduation

Hey Parents!

Sunday Afternoon, with hot chocolate in hand, we had our Fusion Connect Groups- BattleFront Warrior Training Graduation! It was the culmination of 8 weeks of each team learning what it means to live for one, fight for many, and to give their lives for all! Each team competed in the Graduation Games to see who had bonded and learned these three life principles most effectively. Then, parents, students, and staff gathered around the fire to see each warrior graduate and have words of life spoken over them to send them out into their homes, schools, and communities!

One thing God is teaching me at the moment is to stop during my chaotic day and appreciate all he has done for me and around me. So, as I stopped yesterday and reflected on how quickly these students have bonded together and how far they have traveled with their relationship with God I was amazed that anyone could deny the power of God. IT IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US IF WE LOOK. I am so honored to be surrounded by students who are hungry for more, parents who encourage their students to never give up, and a church that is not afraid to believe in the power of a living God!

BattleFront will start back up early next year with a whole new adventure for our students to take part in!

You can Speak Words of Life

Dear Parents

Wednesday Night Mat spoke on how our words are powerful and that in our words we can speak life or death. The students really responded great. We had an amazing time of worship and at the end of the night we wrapped it all up with a time of letting students pray for each other.
It was incredible to watch the students gather in circles and put their arms around each other and passionately begin to pray for each other. If you could have seen your students, your hearts would have been touched. I know mine was!

Over the last few weeks we've been challenging Fusion students to submit the questions they have on issues of life (meaning questions about anything). This coming week the 19th Mat, Lindsey and I are going to be answering the questions they've been asking. It should be very interesting, ha ha!

Don't forget about Fusion's First Thanksgiving, If your staying in the area for Thanksgiving that Tuesday night we are getting together at the Outback for a night of crazy food games. It's $2 at the door from 7-9 PM. Your students will have a blast at this fun and wacky night. FUSIONS FIRST THANKSGIVING!

BattleFront Warrior Training Graduation this Sunday @ the Outback from 3-5 PM. All parents of BattleFront students, this is your chance to come and watch them Graduate from Warrior Training. Your students have gone through 7 incredible weeks of learning how to become a Warrior for God, now they are graduating. Come and be a part of it!

On Wednesday night at Fusion, our purpose is to give your student an environment that they love, real worship they can engage in and a message from scripture that will impact the way they live. Our goal is to come along side you as a parent and see your student start living a life that reflects Jesus. To see them become a follower of Christ who lives with character, faith and love in every area.
